ACT at Duke Director, Dr. Rhonda Merwin recently presented a two-day workshop at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill School of Social Work. The first day covered the basic components of the ACT model and the following day allowed practitioners to really delve into the inner-workings of the ACT model using "real-play" role plays to illustrate techniques and methods.
The reviews of this presentation were incredibly positive. Check out a few of the testimonials.
"I recently did the Emotional Experiencing and ACT training with Rhonda Merwin, and was blown away, frankly. LOVED it. So amazing."
"Thank you for an amazing training! I learned a lot and appreciated the 'real play.'"
"I'm seeing clients today and finding the weekend training to be very relevant and helpful! And the work is more enjoyable as I am reinforcing my learning along with my clients self-discovery. My client just used that word "discovery" in the last session and talked about his and my "shared meanings" after we worked through his values, mental chatter, avoidance behavior, and "heart center."I can't wait for the opportunity for more ACT training. Thank you again for such great clinical material."
"Wanted to let you know how thoroughly I enjoyed the training this past weekend, and how immensely helpful it was -- found myself doing some values work with clients today and they seemed to really benefit!"
